Quick and dirty? Uh, sorry… clean! Contrasting styling works in 5 minutes. And bet you have everything you need in the closet?! Black and white looks, here we come!

Fast styling is easy? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Try this in the morning when you overslept and should have been in the office for ten minutes. The organized ones among us will have already planned and prepared their look for the next day the night before – so there is no need to panic. The rest of us look stupid when we open the closet door and don’t know how, where, when and what. And those pants that really always work? Unfortunately, it’s in the wash today. Naturally! On days like this, it’s a good thing to be able to use the joker: black and white and let’s go!

Contrast icing on the cake

Do you like monochrome looks with highlights? We too, because they are easy to do. Social strategist Khadija Mahamud shows how we quickly break up monotonous looks: with the striped sweater in black and white.

Falling back on classics when shopping is definitely worth it! It can be a black breezy midi dress or white jeans paired with a classic white T. Then all you need are details that are contrasting. For example, you simply combine white trousers and a shirt with a black oversized blazer and sandals. With a black dress, white sneakers and a casual hobo bag for your daily essentials.

sandwich rule

What do two slices of white bread that have been filled and then folded together have to do with styling? All! Like a sandwich, this rule is all about finding the base first. For example, an all-black look with airy linen pieces. In order to get more “taste”, however, we need a filling – that’s what makes the whole thing really tasty. Instead of cheese and ham, we combine things like knitted and crocheted tops. They are real eye-catchers! In combination with linen or denim, these pieces effortlessly exude holiday flair without being obtrusive. The best part? We can make them ourselves. The sandwich principle can be applied to everything when styling and is always a good choice when it has to be quick!

It piece

What should I combine that with? Very easy: with black. Or white. If you want to try daring looks, grab the following treasures: animal prints such as zebra or cow, newspaper print or graphic patterns. So you have a 2-in-1 effect that doesn’t require much creativity on your part. And you can keep the rest simple with basics. A turtleneck or a top with a leather jacket will suffice!
