Rift of the NecroDancer: Brace Yourself Games announces a spin-off of its musical license

Rhythm game fans have appreciated the very good Crypt of the NecroDanceror even its declension Cadence of Hyruletaking place in the universe of The Legend of Zelda. This license brought to the world by Brace Yourself Games continues with the video announcement of Rift of the NecroDancer.

Send the monsters back to the ropes

Looking at the announcement trailer, Rift of the NecroDancer seems to offer a more classic structure, like a Guitar Herowhere we see monsters scrolling in three vertical lines and that we must kill by pressing the right buttons in rhythm with the music.

This is by the way once again composed by Danny Baranowsky, whom we have seen on previous opuses, accompanied by other artists.

The title will vary its gameplay a little with face-to-face against bosses during sequences reminiscent of Punch Out!where the rhythm remains at the heart of the battle, or even on the occasion of mini-games, like the yoga sequence seen in the trailer.

Expected on PC via Steam, Rift of the NecroDancer will also support mods, integrate global leaderboards, and other things that we don’t yet know about. This is also the case of the release date, still unknown.
