Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky celebrated the birth of their second child in early August. Now they are finally giving a first look at their youngest family member.
Rihanna: That’s the name of her second child
The secret is out: Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s little son goes by the unusual name Riot Rose Mayers. The musician couple revealed shortly after the birth that the name begins with an “R”, like their first child. Rihanna’s older son is called RZA Athelston Mayers and was named after the nicknames of the famous Wu-Tang members. Whether his little brother also has a namesake remains to be seen. In any case, it is rumored that Riot’s name is connected to his dad’s song of the same name. At the beginning of the year, the rapper released the track “Riot” together with Pharrell Williams.
First look at her son Riot Rose
Now comes the next big reveal, which fans of the musician have been eagerly waiting for. Photographer Miles “Diggzy” Diggs releases photos from a shoot that features the entire family – including Riot Rose. “It’s a family affair,” he wrote on a photo he shared on Instagram. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky lean casually against an SUV, little RZA stands in front of his famous mom, while Baby Riot lies comfortably in his father’s arms.

The singer remained relatively tight-lipped about her pregnancy following the announcement, only sharing a few photos that showed off her baby bump. Rather, her son was seen more often during this time, and he accompanies her in all situations. Visits to the recording studio, photo shoots or preparations for big events like the Oscars were done in pairs and from now on probably as a trio.
The R&B singer caused a surprise by becoming pregnant at the Super Bowl
With her appearance at the Super Bowl, Rihanna fulfilled a long-awaited wish for many of her fans: she finally stepped onto a big stage again after around six years. This paved the way for hope for a big comeback, even if it had to take a break again due to family planning. In addition to the performance of her biggest hits and the brilliant dancers, the focus was primarily on her clearly visible baby bump, which she revealed during her show.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s first son was born in May 2022. The two have been a couple since 2020, and in May 2021 the rapper spoke openly about his relationship with the singer for the first time. Apparently it was clear to him at that point that he wanted to have children and he told GQ that he thought he could be a great dad. Now he can look forward to his second child and fully enjoy his role as a father of two.
