The Kunio-kun license returns this summer with the release of River City Saga: Three Kingdoms. Already available in Japan since December 2021 on Switch, the game is coming to us on July 21. Published by Arc System Works, the title will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC via Steam.
River City Saga: Three Kingdoms uses the classic structure of River City, but opts for a change of scenery. No more high school uniform for Kunio. Our hero wears the clothes of General Guan Yu. Rather logical since the title tells us the story of the Romandie of the Three Kingdoms. You will therefore follow Guan Yu trying to survive the end of the Han dynasty. And one thing is certain, the adventure that will make you relive historical events such as the Rebellion of the Yellow Turbans or the Battle of the Red Cliff, will prove to be tumultuous.
The crazy beat’em up offers a world made up of many interconnected areas where you will meet characters of all kinds. The story mode, composed of six chapters, will be playable in solo or in cooperation. Because after all the fight is always funnier between friends.
