After the trailer with a “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” crossover already caused a lot of excitement, The CW series goes one better with the 100th episode. In the episode of December 14, 2021 (“The Jughead Paradox”), Jughead Jones enters the alternate universe to familiarize himself with the circumstances. But there he found comics that showed a different looking Reggie Mantle.

Of course, fans of the series know who it is. The figure, which was played by Ross Butler in season 1 of “Riverdale” was, had to be reassigned from season 2 with Charles Melton. Butler had left the show to work on “Dead Girls Don’t Lies,” which you can watch on Netflix.

In allusion to the cast, both versions of Reggie appeared in the latest episode. Ross Butler’s incarnation met Melton’s version and saw him with Veronica (Camila Mendes) before they both get involved in a life and death battle and die. But whether her death in the confused episodes around the parallel world Rivervale will be final, you will probably only find out when “Riverdale” returns after the break in March 2022.
