Archie, Betty, Jughead and the others are finally back! Before disappearing for good… On this Thursday, March 30, 2023, Riverdale so does his comeback on Netflix for a somewhat special season 7, which propels our heroes into the 1950s.

In Riverdale, a quiet little town, the darkest secrets are revealed by the sudden death of a teenager… From the pitch of season 1, Riverdale has changed a lot. In these final episodes, we always follow the band of Archie Andrews and his friends, Betty, Jughead, Kevin or Veronica, who try to navigate through terrifying truths. But this time, their daily life takes the form of the 1950s. Back to the future, Riverdale tries a daring time travel for this season 7.
The characters of the series thus find their costumes of high school students, at Riverdale High. Problem: only Jughead has kept the memory, while the other members of the band take full advantage of this vintage atmosphere, without any memory of the future. But the heroes of Riverdale will soon have to face the racism and homophobia of a time that is more than rigid and discriminatory.
Adapted from Archie Comics comics, Riverdale has captivated an audience, teenagers or not, since its debut in 2017. Great success of the American channel The CW and Netflix in France, the series takes us on a journey through an enigmatic small town Twin Peaks, infusing the classic cocktail with sex, drugs and rock’n’roll. Rather addictive in its form and its improbable twists, Riverdale also knew how to impose a singular style. Not to mention a few musical attempts: several covers of songs have been staged over the seasons, in the style of American musicals.
But by dint of dramaunbelievable narrations and dubious evolutions of certain characters, Riverdale ended up boring more than one spectator. This season 7, which is in line with the previous one, could still cause renewed interest, thanks to unexpected fantastic twists.
