Robbery on the set of Lupin: six young people brought to justice

On February 25, nearly 300,000 euros of equipment had been stolen during the filming in Nanterre of the series Lupine. Six people suspected of having participated in the robbery were presented Thursday to an investigating judge.

Four young people, who were arrested this week for their alleged participation in the robbery of the filming of season 2 of the Netflix series Lupine in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) at the end of February 2022, were indicted for theft in an organized gang, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office said on Friday May 13, contacted by AFP. Among these four people, three were placed under judicial supervision and one in pre-trial detention.

These indictments, which took place on Thursday May 12, follow the arrest on May 6 of six young people, minors and young adults, some of whom live in the Pablo-Picasso district of Nanterre where the robbery took place. Two of the six arrested were ultimately not prosecuted.

In March, in this case, seven other suspects, mostly minors, had already been arrested and indicted for theft in an organized gang with a weapon and concealment. Three had been remanded in custody and four under judicial control.

On February 25, around twenty hooded people attacked the filming of the second season of the hit series Lupine in the Pablo-Picasso district of Nanterre, in the presence of actor Omar Sy, to steal equipment. In all, nearly 300,000 euros of equipment had been stolen.

The team had been attacked with fireworks mortar fire, which did not cause any injuries.
