Robbie Williams gave his mega concert in Munich on Saturday evening. The weather cooperated – the fans didn’t get wet until the end.

The weather gods were kind to Robbie Williams (48) on Saturday evening (August 27). At his mega concert in Munich, the fans were largely spared the rain, the concert could take place as planned. The entertainer played on the grounds of the Munich exhibition center in front of around 100,000 spectators. They were not disappointed by the singer, who warmed up the audience in a good mood and with a lot of vigour.

Robbie Williams worried about fans

The concert location was opened to fans at 12 noon. The spectators flocked to the site in happy anticipation, where a few days earlier Helene Fischer (38) and Andreas Gabalier (37) had also entertained thousands of people. According to organizer Leutgeb Entertainment the admission on Saturday went according to plan. Finally, Robbie Williams started his concert punctually at 8 p.m., how else could it be, with the mega hit “Let Me Entertain You”.

Huge monitors made sure that even those in the back rows got something of the show. Williams commented on the spatial dimensions: “You wouldn’t even notice if I let the whole show hang over my penis out of my pants. Are the screens really big enough for you?” Asked the musician, according to media reports, on the 150 meter wide and 30 meters high stage.

No Helene Fischer

In general, the singer’s humorous manner put the audience in a good mood, and his voice was convincing as always. In addition to his new song “Lost”, Williams also played some of his big hits. Among other things, the viewers could look forward to “She’s the One”, “Something Stupid”, “Come Undone” or “Supreme”. However, they waited in vain for a duet with Helene Fischer. It had previously been rumored that the pop queen might appear on stage. Fischer and Williams have known each other for a long time, in 2019 they released the song “Santa Baby”.

After more than two hours there was “Angels” for the fans at the end – Williams was on stage in Udo-Jürgens-style in a bathrobe. Unfortunately, the rain started at that moment. However, the fans did not let the mood spoil and sang along enthusiastically. The harmonious ending was overshadowed a little by a stadium announcer who grabbed the microphone and began to sing “So ein Tag, so wierschen wietchen”.

Celebrities attended the concert

There were also familiar faces among the fans: ex-football player Bastian Schweinsteiger (38) and his wife Ana Ivanović (34) did not miss the show in Munich. “We’re both equally big fans. We love him. I grew up with his songs,” revealed the former top athlete the broadcaster “RTL“in the backstage area of the event. It wasn’t his first Robbie Williams concert either. Schweinsteiger had already attended a performance in Munich’s Olympic Stadium, the 38-year-old said.

Robbie William insisted himself via Instagram to thank the Munich audience. “You’re great, Munich! Thank you so much. I love you all. Rob,” wrote the musician for a photo that shows him on stage from behind. The organizer again thanked Williams and the fans: “You put on a sensational show and the fans made the entire exhibition grounds tremble. We would like to thank 100,000 visitors for this amazing atmosphere!”
