Robbie Williams: Virtual reunion with Take That creates a lot of nostalgia

Anything is possible in the Corona crisis for a good cause. Since mid-May, fans of the boy band Take That ("Back for Good") have been waiting for the announced virtual reunion with Robbie Williams (46, "Angels"). On Friday (May 29th) the time had come. The online concert was published on the YouTube channel "Compare the Meerkat". Initially only Gary Barlow (49), Mark Owen (48) and Howard Donald (52) were connected from their homes. After about eleven minutes, Robbie Williams appeared. Only Jason Orange (49) was missing.

They sing four classics

Williams was promptly targeted for his alleged late arrival. He countered calmly: "The last time I was 15 years late!" First, the four toasted virtually with a cup of tea. Then there was singing. Together they performed the classics "Back for Good", "The Flood", "Pray" and "Never Forget". Pure nostalgia!

The tenor is clear in the YouTube comments: The fans are enthusiastic about the virtual reunion. The almost 40-minute show was viewed over 1.5 million times in the first 15 hours. The charity appearance is intended to collect donations for the charities Nordoff Robbins and Crew Nation for the concert industry, which has been hit by the corona crisis.
