At the CES in Las Vegas, Roborock presented three vacuum robots, the Roborock Q Revo MaxV, Q Revo Pro and the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. The latter is the new flagship model with lots of new features that should make the heart of every vacuum robot fan beat faster.

The S8 MaxV Ultra has a brutal suction power of 10,000 Pascal. This means that even deep-pile carpets should not be a problem for the device. In addition, the manufacturer has installed a new, extendable side brush, the “FlexiArm”. According to the company, this enables 99 percent corner coverage. There is also the “Edge Spinning Mop” system, an additional small mop that wipes hard-to-reach areas.

The wiping module has also been further developed and is now called “VibraRise 3.0”. The system has two vibration modules that vibrate up to 4,000 times per minute. In addition, the mopping plate can be raised by up to two centimeters.

With AI and Rock Dock

The “DirtTect Smart Sensor” technology detects the type of dirt and automatically adjusts the device’s cleaning settings. In addition, “Reative AI 2.0” ensures the detection and avoidance of obstacles through the interaction of sensors and cameras.

The S8 MaxV Ultra now also has its own voice assistant that responds to “Hello Rocky” and can start cleaning when called. Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant are still supported. The new model comes with a cleaning station, the RockDock Ultra.

Among other things, the station takes care of automatically emptying and refilling the cleaning agent, washes the mops with 60 degree hot water and dries them with 60 degree hot air. The degree of contamination is determined and, if necessary, a second washing process is carried out. The S8 MaxV Ultra will go on sale in the second quarter of 2024, the price is not yet known.

Roborock Q Revo MaxV and Revo Pro

In the upper middle class, Roborock Q Revo MaxV and Revo Pro are added to the product catalog. In contrast to the S series, the Revo series uses rotating mops that rotate 200 times per minute. These can be raised by one centimeter on the Revo MaxV.

The Revo also uses the FlexiArm and Edge Mopping System for better corner and edge cleaning. The suction power here is 7,000 Pascal. Both models come with the multifunctional docking station 2.0. She washes the mops with 60 degree hot water and dries them with 45 degree hot air, fills the water tank and empties the dust container.

In contrast to the Revo Pro, the Q Revo MaxV also comes with the new voice assistant “Hello Rocky”, reactive AI obstacle detection and avoidance, video calling, automatic brush raising and a few other features. The devices will go on sale at the end of the first quarter for 849 or 999 euros.
