Lately, it’s the ability of robot vacuums to handle obstacles that has taken a leap forward. Sensors are more sensitive, cameras sharper, laser rangefinders more advanced and artificial intelligence has made its appearance. This tasty mix makes vacuum cleaners intelligent devices that can detect traps that come their way.
In our laboratory, this test phase consists of strewing the path of the robot with more or less imposing, more or less identifiable obstacles. Cables, bottles, rags, screwdrivers: it’s all there. But do not be fooled, this protocol is no longer up to new technologies.
That’s why we ask for your help. To carry out tests that best resemble everyday situations, we would like to know the problems you have already encountered with your robot vacuum cleaner.
