How the pricing table works

The Scout Air and Syn Buds Air, launched under the Turtle Beach and Roccat brands respectively (the latter having been acquired by the former in 2019), share exactly the same design and the same relatively basic technical data sheet. The headphones combine an in-ear design and a “branch” design: a widely proven combo that differs slightly here by rather sinuous curves. They come with a charging box that has three LEDs to quickly assess the battery level of the latter.

Like almost all headphones on the market, the Scout Air and Syn Buds Air connect exclusively wirelessly via Bluetooth (in version 5.1 here) to the source device. Each model is accompanied by a companion application (Audio Hub for Turtle Beach, Syn Buds Air for Roccat) in order to benefit from a more precise indication of the battery level of the headphones, to access some sound settings and above all to be able to trigger the “Game” mode, which promises a reduction in communication latency to 60 ms. Autonomy is announced at 5 hours per charge, with the possibility of fully recharging the headphones three times thanks to the transport case (the latter being rechargeable only via its USB-C port).

In terms of audio reproduction, both Turtle Beach and Roccat models benefit from 66 mm speakers. No technical and precise indication is provided as to their sound performance, unfortunately.

The Scout Air from Turtle Beach and Syn Buds Air from Roccat are already available at the very precise price of €99.99.
