Update 28.30 Fortnite was rich in new features as well for Fortnite Festival with the launch of its Season 2 that for LEGO Fortnite with the addition of fishing. If you prefer racing on asphalt, Rocket Racing was not forgotten since it was entitled to a new game modeas promised from its launch, which will appeal to those who prefer to measure themselves against the clock rather than against other players, THE Against the watch. Associated quests require you to complete a total of 200 rounds, which should keep pilots busy for the month to come. Note, however, that the Season 1 should arrive at the same time as the next one Battle Royale (March 8) if we are to believe the timer for the end of the ranked objectives, while the deadline of March 26 at 5:00 a.m. to complete them was previously mentioned.

Rocket Racing Season 0 is accelerating! In update 28.30, set records in the new Time Trial mode and climb the Time Trial scoreboards. While achieving better times each lap, you can unlock Sprintspark drag (and its many colors!) with the new quests.
LAND IN TIME TRIAL
Want to prove that you are one of the fastest drivers in Rocket Racing? So, get ready, because in Time Trial, you will face the toughest opponent: the clock.
Try toset the best possible time on variations of your favorite slopes like Riviera, Anaconda and Olympe. Each game has a multi-minute countdown, giving you plenty of time to complete multiple laps (“runs”) and create your perfect route to the finish line!
When you rush into Time Trial, don’t be scared if you see your ghost. This not-so-scary apparition is here to show you your exact drive during your best round of the game. Correct mistakes to shave precious seconds off your best time.
You can play Time Trial in both public and private games. If you’re playing with other people, don’t worry about running into them. Player collisions are disabled in Time Trial, so you can focus on your lap times. On the other hand, you cannot take advantage of the aspiration bonus. Start line turbos are also disabled in this mode.
Your best time on a track will be displayed on the season scoreboard for that track. So you can see how your talents rank against drivers around the world. There’s also a Friends Scoreboard where you can compare your times with your Epic friends for bragging rights! But don’t rest on your laurels, because the scoreboards are reset to zero every season.
To access this new mode, simply choose a track in the Time Trial row of Rocket Racing game modes, or select the Time Trial mode with rotating tracks.
ELECTRIC QUESTS !
Every good quest begins with a spark! Complete rounds in Time Trial to advance in the Time Trial launch quests. By completing the first quest, you unlock the new Sprintspark trail! Complete the other quests to unlock 13 colors for the Sprintspark trail.
The Time Trial launch quests will be available until March 26, 2024 at 5:00 a.m. (European Central Time).
MORE IMPROVEMENTS ON MOBILE
Update 28.30 includes other improvements for playing Rocket Racing on mobile:
- The tactile directional cross has been replaced by a tactile joystick, which allows for better precision while driving. You can adjust the joystick sensitivity in the settings;
- We have updated the visuals of the mobile HUD.
DIESTRO ARRIVES ON THE FORTNITE ECOSYSTEM
It may look retro, but the Diestro car chassis is all modern power! Test it out in Rocket Racing and other experiences throughout Fortnite. This original Rocket League item is available in the store in the Diestro car pack :
- Diestro car chassis (includes 13 colors);
- Chitchat sticker;
- Lozano sticker;
- Old Flame Sticker;
- Sticker Sooo Fly ;
- Sticker Bands;
- Stuntman sticker.
The stickers in the Diestro car pack can only be equipped with the Diestro car chassis. If you already have the Diestro and the stickers in Rocket League, they will be waiting for you in your Fortnite locker thanks to the multigame property! If you buy the Diestro car pack in Fortnite, you will have the contents in Rocket League.
SHINE WITH XENOSPLASH !
Is your concentration on the road such that you are in another world? The Xenosplash turbo arrives in the Fortnite ecosystem through the Xenosplash turbo pack! This store pack includes the turbo, plus 13 different colors.
If you’re feeling famous, consider combine this turbo with Lustrum X10 wheels which also make their debut in Fortnite. These wheels are available in the store via the Lustrum X10 Wheel Pack, which includes the wheels and 12 different paint colors!
Just like the Diestro, the Xenosplash turbo and Lustrum X10 wheels are eligible for multi-set ownership.
MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS AND BUGS FIXES
- You can now perform an aerial roll ! Simply hold down the left trigger while in the air (or the space bar on PC) and change direction to spin in the air. You can also pair your barrels with your thrusters to fly above the track. We’d love to hear some feedback on this advanced new mechanic, so let us know what you think.
- Many quests have been adjusted so that they can be progressed by playing in Time Trial mode, In Race mode, or both! Quest descriptions have also been updated to reflect this.
By the way, version 28.20 had added two additional tracks and a few quests to complete earlier in the month.

NEW QUESTS AND NEW COLORS OF THE DRAG SMOKE TRAIL
Dazzle your opponents with new colors! Seven ranked challenges allowing you to show off your skills as an accomplished pilot have been added to the Season 0 Tune-Up quests. The objective of each challenge is to complete a certain number of races at a certain tier. For example :
Complete 10 races at Gold tier or higher (unlocks orange skid smoke)
Each challenge rewards a new color of skid smoke upon completion. Take on the challenges to add colors to your collection!

MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS AND BUGS FIXES
- We have received your feedback regarding collisions (both between players and with the environment) throughout Season 0 and we share your findings. We’re continuing to improve them to be much less extreme in patch 28.20. Let us know what you think of these changes!
- Running into an obstacle no longer deactivates the accelerator for the duration of the obstacle’s effect. From now on, a greater speed penalty is applied and imposes reduced acceleration so as not to hinder skidding.
- We will continue to monitor the impact of this improvement throughout Season 0. Please provide feedback on whether this adjustment improves the racing experience.
- We added a setting for nameplates that only display an icon.
- Fixed an issue where spectators were sometimes removed for inactivity after the race ended.
- Fixed an issue where activating turbo after an acceleration or vacuum boost caused less speed gain than intended.
- Image quality is now improved on the end screen.
