Rogers Communications: JAYS CARE FOUNDATION INVESTS MORE THAN $1.2 MILLION IN BASEBALL FIELDS IN CANADA


As we announced tonight on Sportsnet’s Blue Jays Central, the Jays Care Foundationa charitable organization Toronto Blue Jayswill carry out in 2022 investments of more than $1.2 million in infrastructure that will benefit children and youth across Canada through its program Field Of Dreams.

16 organizations from 7 provinces and 1 territory will receive funding to build, improve and refurbish baseball diamonds where children and youth can learn life skills and learn from positive role models. The Jays Care Foundation has invested more than $15 million in 145 safe spaces in all 10 provinces and 2 territories of the country over the past 10 years.

The following communities and organizations have been selected as recipients of a 2022 Jays Care Foundation Field Of Dreams donation:

  1. Whitecourt, AB – Whitecourt Minor Baseball
  1. Invermere, British Columbia– Columbia Valley Little League
  1. Kamloops, British Columbia– Kamloops Minor Baseball
  1. Smithers, British Columbia– Witset First Nation
  1. La Salle, Manitoba– Cashier Community Center
  1. Lundar, Manitoba-Lundar Minor Ball
  1. Amherst, Nova Scotia– Amherst Little League
  1. Dominion (Nova Scotia)– Hawks Dream Field Project
  1. Arctic Bay, Nunavut– Arctic Bay Hamlet
  1. Whale Cove, Nunavut– Hamlet of Whale Cove
  1. Christian Island, Ontario– Beausoleil First Nation
  1. Etobicoke, Ontario– Martingrove Baseball
  1. Trois-Rivieres (Quebec)– Baseball Quebec
  1. Laird, Saskatchewan-Laird Minor Softball
  1. Prince Albert (Saskatchewan)-Prince Albert Minor Ball

The Jays Care Foundation is grateful for the support provided by its largest funding partner, Rogers Communications. The company’s annual donation helps grow youth programs like Challenger Baseball, Rookie League and Girls At Bat. A large number of children participating in these programs play on the grounds of the Field Of Dreams program.
