At the beginning of the year, Vampire Survivors was able to seduce many players with a simple but advanced gameplay, which allowed a large number of people to discover the rogue-lite genre, which is rich in nuggets. Rogue: Genesia, which is developed by Frenchman Huard Ouadi and backed by another French indie studio, iolaCorp, will attempt to break into this realm, with a full game and two modes to satisfy everyone.
The first mode, on which the developer has made the most progress so far, is called “Rogs” and offers to overcome several stages, while building a more or less powerful build with the objective of saving the world. You will have several paths to reach the final stage, making each choice important, since it will directly impact the rest of your game. Each level will raise the difficulty, but you can also make it easier for yourself by choosing the right weapons and passive bonuses. The experience will never be the same twice.
Another game mode is also planned, survival mode, very similar to Vampire Survivors, since it simply asks you to survive waves of mobs as long as possible while trying to build the most powerful build to overcome it. Note however that this mode is currently not available in the demo.
