Clément Cuyer appreciates all genres, from good hard-hitting horror films to schoolboy comedy. He is an “old man” of AlloCiné, journalist in the editorial staff for more than two passionate decades. “Too old for this bullshit”? Oh never!

“Rogue One”, the spin-off of “Star Wars” broadcast by TF1 this Sunday evening, makes it possible to find on the screen two cult figures of the intergalactic saga. Don’t miss them, their presence is furtive!

They are inseparable from the Star Wars universe, the only characters to have appeared in the nine parts of the intergalactic saga. They are the inseparable droids C-3PO and R2-D2! If you have the eye, you will see that the two robots make a nice appearance in the spin-off Rogue One, broadcast this Sunday evening on TF1.

In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, C-3PO and R2-D2 indeed appear for a short shot, as the rebel pilots set off on a mission to the planet Scarif. The proof below!

Lucasfilm Ltd.

For the record, this planet Scarif, on which we can see the two droids, owes its name to a funny mistake. One day, passing through a café, director Gareth Edwards saw his first name misspelled on his cup, “Gareth” becoming “Scarif” for the occasion. The name of the planet in which the last act of Rogue One takes place was born!
