French pair Garcia-Mladenovic won the women’s doubles by overthrowing Americans Cori Gauff and Jessica Pegula in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. Les Tricolores win their second success at Roland-Garros after 2016. For Mladenovic, it is even a 5th Grand Slam title in doubles.
The French Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic won the Roland-Garros doubles tournament for the second time after 2016, against the Americans Coco Gauff, already finalist the day before in singles, and Jessica Pegula, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The two tricolors, who had not played doubles together on the circuit since 2017, reformed at the start of the year for the Australian Open (eliminated in the 2nd round) their victorious pair of the 2019 Fed Cup.
Already 5 Grand Slam doubles titles for Mladenovic
Without Garcia, Mladenovic won four Grand Slam doubles titles, including two at Roland-Garros (2019 and 2020), teaming up with Hungarian Timea Babos. “Caro and Kiki”, as the public encouraged them, returned to the Parisian Grand Slam final for the first time since 2016.
