This Sunday, Novak Djokovic became the first man to win 23 Grand Slam titles with his coronation at Roland-Garros. This Sunday, the joy of his fans, sometimes coming from afar to encourage the star, was at its height.

The ultimate champion. Novak Djokovic became the first man to win 23 Grand Slam titles at the age of 36 on Sunday. For the final, fans of the Serbian player made the trip to encourage him. All dressed in a red t-shirt or a Serbian flag well wrapped around their shoulders, it was difficult this Sunday to miss Novak Djokovic’s group of supporters. They have long, in vain, waited for their idol.

“I’m really thrilled”

Some, like Sandra, did not leave empty-handed. “I managed to have his t-shirt of the day. I have all the paraphernalia. I lived a historic moment and it’s really incredible. I’m really in heaven”, she explains at the microphone from Europe 1.

The reunion continues because Julie has recovered Djokovic’s autographed racket which she shares so that everyone can immortalize this magical moment with her. “He came to give me a hug and I congratulated him. Then he started to give away his things and he took out the snowshoes. It’s just absolute happiness!”, explains Julie.
