Romeo (Love is in the meadow) reveals the secrets behind the show

During the eighteenth season of Love is in the meadow (M6), viewers were able to discover Roméo, a 47-year-old Auvergne fodder seller. The dating show asks its candidates to choose between two suitors: a painful step for Romeo who, if he had a real crush on Sophie, 53 years old, had difficulty announcing to his other suitor, Clotilde, that he had made his choice. A decision approved by the farmer’s best friend, Cédric, who suddenly died a few months after filming. “I live Love is in the meadow daily since February, the broadcast of my portrait, and the launch of the eighteenth season. We are all very publicized, and more particularly since the end of August, my life revolves around this beautiful adventure“describes Romeo in an interview with Progress.

A great adventure which requires a lot of time and energy from its candidates, as Romeo revealed to our colleagues. “This story with Sophie happened in a very special atmosphere, with the pressure of the show“, he observes. A pressure that translates into a large number of hours spent in front of the production cameras, in just a few days. “We shot fifty hours of episodes in five daysand barely had time to think or rest”describes the farmer.

Romeo says more about the “pressure” of filming

Demanding and difficult filming conditions for Romeo. Especially since he was worried about what he was going to tell Clotilde. “I really didn’t sleep all night when I had to announce to this superb person that the adventure ended there for her”he admits about the one he depicts like a “beautiful encounter”. The farmer also assured that he was “always in touch” with Clotilde, with whom he wishes to create “a true lasting friendship“.
