WHAT DOES IT TALK ABOUT ?

Gabrielle, 30, joins a prestigious reporting show. She must very quickly find her place within a team of great reporters.

Despite the commitment of Vincent, their editor-in-chief, they are confronted with the daily life of a changing profession, with ever-reducing resources, in the face of new information channels. Driven by their passion for the search for truth, their sense of humor and solidarity, they will try everything to rediscover the faith of their beginnings and reinvent themselves.

AT THE HEART OF A TEAM OF REPORTERS

Awarded the Golden Lion for short film in 2006 at the Venice Film Festival (for How we brake in a descent), and highlighted through the Césars for Most Promising Female and Best Promising Male received in 2012 by Clotilde Hesme and Grégory Gadebois, for his feature film Angèle et Tony, Alix Delaporte is back with what could well be the slap in the face of French cinema at the start of the year.

This February 14, Vivants is released in theaters, a film in which the director features an impressive cast in the costume of journalists. Bluffing in the guise of a new recruit to a reporting program editorial team, Alice Isaaz gives the answer to Pascale Arbillot, Pierre Lottin, Jean-Charles Clichet, Vincent Elbaz, without forgetting the editor-in-chief portrayed by Roschdy Zem. Presented in the official selection out of competition at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, this rhythmic and realistic drama restores the nobility of this profession, and is inspired by the life of the filmmaker.

Before directing fiction, Alix Delaporte made her debut as a journalist-cameraman at the CAPA agency, where she was notably able to sign reports for Nulle Part Elsewhere or even the documentary Comme dans un rêve on Zinédine Zidane. An expertise that we find at the heart of Vivants, a fascinating dive behind the scenes of a changing world, and which will have you glued to your seat for 1 hour 23 minutes. See you on February 14 at the cinema.
