The time has come for the special episode of the telenovela “Rote Rosen” (weekdays, 2:10 pm, the first), in which singer and modern-talking icon Thomas Anders (58, “Cosmic”) can be seen as a guest star. will air on Thursday (May 6th). Thomas Anders plays Thomas Anders, who wants to remain as unrecognized as possible during his visit to Lüneburg, which makes David’s (Arne Rudolf) attempts to hunt autographs fail several times … How the shooting for the acting novice was, the musician tells in an interview with the news agency spot on news. Thomas Anders also reveals a personal “bizarre-funny” fan experience.

You play a guest role in “Rote Rosen”. How did you get involved and why did you want to participate?

Thomas Anders: It’s easy to explain. The request came to the management and since “Rote Rosen” is a classic on television, I didn’t have to think twice.

How did you prepare? And what tip can you pass on for newcomers to acting?

Anders: Because I was supposed to play myself, I didn’t have to empathize with a “new” role. I could just be who I am. I think the best tip is to act and play intuitively. Otherwise it will be too cerebral.

How was it for you as a newcomer to the set? What was the biggest challenge?

Anders: It was unusual, but not difficult. Everyone worked together on set, and I only had a guest role for one day. Getting involved in the well-rehearsed processes was the biggest challenge.

Could you imagine going deeper into acting?

Anders: I had a lot of fun. If a director offers a role in a film that I think is great too, I would take up the challenge. My heart is basically with the music.

They also sing in the episode. Were you happy when you came across this familiar territory while filming? Or did you have stage fright?

Anders: There are only a few lines that I sing “a capella” and that shouldn’t be a problem for me now. I never had stage fright while shooting or singing.

Did you have a lucky charm on set?

Anders: No, I don’t have a lucky charm at all. For me, lucky charms are more of a hindrance. It’s really annoying when I travel somewhere and forget my lucky charm. My personal lucky charm is my positive attitude.

Did you take a souvenir from the shoot?

Anders: Yes, great memories.

David tries to get your grandma’s autograph from you in the episode. What was an unforgettable autograph request in private?

Anders: Well, there are of course a lot of personal requests for an autograph. I once had a bizarre and funny situation when a young woman shot up at me, nervously reared up in front of me and said in an imperious tone: “I want an autograph from you now”. I smiled and replied: “Since you ask me so politely, I can’t say ‘no'”. (laughs)

“Rote Rosen” is shot in Lüneburg. How do you like the little town?

Anders: Unfortunately I was only in Lüneburg for one day, but what I saw was very beautiful and romantic.

How are you going to view your acting debut?

Anders: Unfortunately, I’m in a shoot that day. But there is the media library.

What is your next project?

Anders: I’ll have a few more TV shoots and studio recordings until the summer, and then I hope that concerts can slowly take place again.
