Round-up National League – Hofmann successful at EVZ return – Langnau loses again – Sport

Zug – Biel 3: 2 nP

Zug remains undefeated thanks to the home win against EHC Biel in 2022: Anton Lander defeated Biel goalie Joren van Pottelberghe in a penalty shoot-out between the legs and his goal ensured the victory for the home team. Returnee Grégory Hofmann played a key role in Zug’s success. In the 48th minute, he proved that not only the game overview, but also wonderful individual actions are part of his repertoire: When the scoreboard was still zero on both sides, Hofmann pulled through the middle in front of the goal and left van Pottelberghe ice cold.

Dario Simion provided the supposed decision 5 minutes later with the 2:0 for the home team, before Damien Brunner forced the extra time with a brace within 3 minutes.

ZSC Lions – Davos 3:2

367 seconds – HCD goalie Gilles Senn’s work commitment didn’t last that long. After an early 2-0 deficit, Davos coach Christian Wohlwend reacted with a goalkeeper change. Rochading didn’t change anything about Davos’ passivity, which Zurich knew how to exploit coldly: John Quenneville (1st), Patrick Gering (7th) and Garrett Roe (17th) had an easy time with their goals in the 1st period. Until the end of the 2nd period, Andres Ambühl’s 5-minute and game-time disciplinary penalty (37th) was the only action worth mentioning. The offensive rearing of Davos through the goals of Magnus Nygren (42nd) and Chris Egli (60th) came a bit too late. Davos suffered their 3rd defeat in the 4th game in the new year – the mini-crisis has become reality.

SCL Tigers – Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 1:3

In the 56th minute of the game, Langnau’s Tim Grossniklaus had to go to the penalty box for 2 minutes at a score of 1:1 – this was followed by the 7th (!) shorthanded game of the evening for Langnauer. The consequence was momentous: In the majority game of the guests from Rapperswil-Jona, Dominic Lammer was able to profit from a deflected shot by Leandro Profico and prevent overtime just before the final siren. Emil Djuse’s goal into the empty goal sealed the final score of 3:1 from the perspective of the Rosenstadt team.

This means that Langnau’s series of defeats is getting longer and longer – for the 9th time in a row the Tigers left the ice as losers. Neo coach Yves Sarault suffered his second defeat in his second game.

Geneva-Servette – Lausanne 4: 3 a.e.t

In the fourth duel of the season with Lausanne, Servette celebrated the long-awaited first victory. Daniel Winnik became the match winner, scoring after 16 seconds to make it 4:3. The Léman Derby was launched with a lot of fire. A missed goal after 5 minutes made Lausanne coach John Fust lodge a pitch protest. It continued at high speed: In the 11th minute, a majority goal was scored within 32 seconds. Servette’s Henrik Tömmernes only needed 9, Lausanne’s Jason Fuchs only 6 seconds to succeed in the power play.

Ajoie – Lugano 3:7

22nd minute of the game: The equalizer to make it 2-2 by Ajoie’s Reto Schmutz was the start of a crazy middle third in Pruntrut in Jura. In an open exchange of blows, which was fraught with numerous mistakes on both sides, the Luganesi showed themselves more cold-blooded and took a 4-2 lead through Mark Arcobello (35th) and Luca Fazzini (37th). Jérôme Gauthier-Leduc scored the second goal of the evening just before the break in the second period. As at the beginning of the game, Lugano took control of the game in the final third and ensured a clear final result with goals from Tim Traber (43′), Raphael Herburger (53′) and again Arcobello (60′).
