Route closed – horses briefly paralyzed early morning traffic in Tyrol

There is currently no train service between Fritzens-Wattens and Schwaz. The reason is strange: horses are apparently in the track area. It is therefore currently not possible for the train to continue its journey.

“There is currently no train service between Fritzens-Wattens and Schwaz,” it appears on the monitors in Innsbruck main station. The reason is animals that are in the track area. A delay of around half an hour should be planned. “It’s probably horses,” says ÖBB spokesman Christoph Gasser-Mair when asked by the Tyrolean “Krone”. Information about how many animals there are and where exactly they are is not known. However, ÖBB employees are currently trying to get the escaped animals off the route. “At the moment we are standing, but after that we can open the route again,” said Gasser-Mair.
