Royal Caribbean: careful with Omicron

(Boursier.com) — Royal Caribbean, the cruise giant, estimated on Friday that the spread of the Omicron variant should delay its return to profitability. The group’s fourth fiscal quarter was admittedly already mixed, with total revenues of 982 million dollars over this period ending at the end of December, compared to a consensus of 1.04 billion. The quarterly net loss was heavy at $1.4 billion and $5.33 per share in GAAP. The adjusted loss represented 1.2 billion and $4.78 per share, further widened compared to last year. Over the full year, the GAAP loss totaled $5.3 billion and the adjusted loss $4.8 billion.
