- RTL+ is now also available as an app via Vodafone.
- The GigaTV Cable Box 2 is the first receiver to offer support for the app.
- Cable Box 1 users will have to wait.
The RTL+ app is now also available to Vodafone GigaTV customers on the GigaTV Cable Box 2, the GigaTV Net Box and via Apple TV. Users of the older GigaTV Cable Box 1, on the other hand, are put off. Here, according to the provider, a remedy should be created “shortly”.

When the time comes, however, users of the old hardware as well as the other receiving devices mentioned will still need a subscription to RTL+ as the number one access requirement. There was also no special launch offer from Vodafone. The usual monthly price from 6.99 euros applies with a free trial month in advance.

The Vodafone version of the RTL+ app was developed externally. Teravolt GmbH from Hamburg, which is also responsible for the smart TV media libraries of ARD and ZDF, was commissioned by RTL and Vodafone to do this.
