Who managed the trick – and who suffered a belly flop? These celebrities won the third edition of “RTL Turmsprung”.
The third edition of the “RTL Turmsprung” format took place on Friday evening (January 12th). Once again, the German celebrities ventured onto the board with the hope of not splashing their faces on the surface of the water a moment later – not everyone was granted this wish. In the end, of course, there were not only wounds to lick, but also glorious winners to be crowned. The podium was climbed by the expected people.
In the individual category there was once again no getting past exceptional artist René Casselly (27). He is used to being at the top at the end of a challenge – whether as a course champ on the show “Ninja Warrior” or as a “dancing star” on the dance format “Let’s Dance”, which he won in 2022. At the “RTL diving competition, he won ahead of Fabian Hambüchen (36) and Philipp Boy (36), who are also experienced gymnasts.
It was the second attempt for Casselly, who actually wanted to compete last year. However, a training injury stopped the artist: in the event of an impact, both of his eardrums burst. A year late, now the happy ending for the ambitious 27-year-old.
Double Ninja beats Double Kasalla
Speaking of the second attempt: a double competition was also held on Friday evening with an injured amateur diver. Among others, Thorsten (55) and Nico Legat (25) dared to take on this demanding task – even though the ex-footballer was seriously injured in an accident for the 2022 edition: Legat came during a training jump from the three-meter board unhappily on the water and tore one of his testicles – it even had to be removed later!
Legat certainly couldn’t be accused of lacking courage. However, this was not enough to triumph together with his son – the doubles of Ada Theilken and Benni Grams turned out to be too strong over the course of the evening. The two “Ninja Warrior” stars won the race and completed the victorious ninja triple alongside Casselly.
