Rugby: a member of Aviron Bayonnais staff in police custody for hitting a nurse

The police quickly intervened on the scene to arrest the former trainer of Aviron Bayonnais, Cyril Gomes. Antoine Battut, suspected of having punched a nurse, was taken into custody later in the day. Both men were heavily intoxicated. Released under judicial supervision at the end of their police custody on Wednesday, the two men will be tried on February 23 for “violence in meetings on people responsible for public service missions”, indicated the Bayonne prosecutor’s office.
