Yes, we are of course talking about Skull and Bones, which has had a series of postponements since its announcement in 2017 and whose more than complicated development is no longer in doubt at this stage. It made its big return in July 2022 with a release date, editions, a cinematic CGI and gameplaybut this great unpacking which continued all summer was quickly overtaken by reality and another postponement which should have brought it out no longer on November 8, 2022, but on March 9, 2023. This was unfortunately not the case, but a closed beta ended up being organized at the end of August. Since then, its new launch period has been planned for the first quarter of 2024, i.e. between next January and March. And it seems that the publisher is sticking to it this time, according to a leak.
Indeed, Tom Henderson reports on InsiderGaming that the release date of Skull and Bones would finally be set for Friday February 16, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Well, on the other hand, we don’t really understand why he mentions the edition Premium as if it had never been announced even though its content has been known since the summer of 2022… On the other hand, the three day early access he talks about wasn’t there at the time. As for the official announcement, it should come in the coming weeks, why not during the Game Awards.
It is still possible to pre-order Skull and Bones on Amazon at the price of €79.90 on PS5 and from €79.99 to the Fnac. If this new date proves to be true, players will have to cope with one more game for the already overloaded start of 2024…
