RUMOR on Far Cry 7: tough interrogations and game to finish in 24 hours flat, new details on the story on the run

Even if the recipe stagnates a little, no one doubts thatUbisoft prepare a Far Cry 7 which will continue the franchise around a new autonomous story. Rumors reported by InsiderGaming had suggested that this future title nicknamed Project Blackbird would take us to Alaska, and would be offered around the same time as a shooter free-to-play in PvE extraction based. It would be developed by Ubisoft Montreal via the Snowdrop Engineand no longer the engine Dunyafor release in fall 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The journalist Tom Henderson does it again this week, by revealing new information that his sources would have confided to him. According to them, the story would once again be non-linear, with the possibility of experiencing the different intermediate parts in the order we wish. The scenario would thus revolve around the kidnapping of a rich family by a group of conspiracy theorists called Sons of Truthwhich should be saved within 72 hours in-game, or 24 hours of real play time. Yes, this could change between now and launch, but there would be a countdown way Dead Rising during the adventurewhich would however stop in the menus and certain shelters.

Family members should thus be saved in the order we desire within the allotted time. If we don’t do it in time or they are killed during the operation, it would not cause a Game Overand would have an impact on the story. The scenario could thus be finished without having rescued the whole family : the final goal would be to kill the Son of Truthbut the true ending and 100% could only be achieved by having made everyone safe.

Otherwise, during the adventure, an interrogation mechanism would be proposed, to allow us to obtain information on the location of the hostages. These phases would not always be helpful, as victims might lie, remain silent, or escape. The journalist ofInsiderGaming finally denies an old rumor according to which the definitive title would be Far Cry: Riseand that it would take place on a fictional tropical island called Kimsan, which is located in the Yellow Sea next to South Korea. However, he does not reconfirm Alaska as the setting.

The concept of this Far Cry 7 is attractive, but could evolve between now and launch, even though Tom Henderson would say the truth about the current version of the game. While waiting to find out more, Far Cry 6 is available from €19.99 on Amazon.com.
