Rumors are growing around Nintendo’s next console

Since its financial results in May, rumors have become more and more persistent. Nintendo’s next console has once again been on the lip since gamescom. And for good reason, while the Japanese firm allowed the public to play Pikmin 4 And Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxedevelopers could have seen the new machine up close out of sight according to Eurogamer.

The company’s goal is to further introduce the hardware and how games can run on it. In addition to the studios already having a development kit for the machine, the Cologne event would have been the perfect opportunity to find new partners. These are just rumors from the corridors, and we don’t really know what it is. Nintendo may therefore have simply spoken to the developers, revealed the console to them, or none of that. We will have to wait a while longer for the Switch 2 to be announced, or for the first leaks to be public before we know for sure.

The first rumors regarding this new Nintendo console already date back to 2020. At that time, Bloomberg mentioned the development of a 4K version for the Switch. This ultimately never saw the light of day, unlike the OLED version. A screen that its successor would lack in order to make it more affordable. But once again, impossible to say anything until Nintendo has formalized anything.
