MOSCOW, July 2 (Reuters) – A Russian researcher, Anatoly Maslov, has been arrested in Novosibirk and detained in Moscow on charges of “high treason” on suspicion of leaking classified information on hypersonic technology, the Tass news agency reported on Saturday. citing a source close to the Russian intelligence investigation (FSB).

Anatoly Maslov exercised at the Institute of Applied and Theoretical Mechanics in Novissibirk, in Siberia, some 2,800 kilometers east of Moscow.

“Maslov is suspected of having provided information that is classified,” Tass said.

According to several Russian media, the researcher was arrested on June 28, information that Reuters could not verify. Anatoly Maslov’s lawyer could not be reached immediately.

This is the second scientist arrested after Dmitri Kolker, doctor in physics and mathematics at the State University of Novosibirsk, suspected of the same head and of collaboration with the Chinese security services.
