Russian drone attack on Kharkiv

May 10 (Reuters) – Ukrainian authorities said they had intercepted ten drones launched by Russia against Kharkiv overnight from Thursday to Friday, but two people were injured and several houses destroyed or damaged by a fire caused by the fall of debris.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia also fired two missiles towards the large city in northeastern Ukraine, located only about 30 kilometers from the Russian border.

Oleh Sinehoubov, governor of the Kharkiv region, said the Russian attack had targeted both infrastructure and residential areas. (Written by Lidia Kelly in Melbourne; French version Tangi Salaün, edited by Zhifan Liu)
