The FBI has completed its forensic analysis of the tragedy on the set of the western Rust. A camerawoman was killed in the incident.

Camerawoman Halyna Hutchins (1979-2021) died tragically on the set of the western “Rust” in October last year. At that time, a bullet from a prop weapon in the hands of actor Alec Baldwin (64) fatally hit Hutchins. The FBI has now completed the forensic analysis on the incident, as has the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office according to the Los Angeles Times informed.

While the results of the investigation are unknown, the completion of the forensic analysis is considered an important milestone in the investigation. The FBI report allows New Mexico law enforcement to reopen their investigation and review whether charges should be filed in connection with Halyna Hutchins’ death.

Investigations stalled

The investigation into the incident was stalled as the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office waited for the FBI report to be completed.

Director Joel Souza (49) was also hit in the tragedy on the “Rust” set in October 2021 and had to be treated in the hospital. Alec Baldwin not only worked as an actor, but also as a producer of the western.
