Rust welcomes the Arctic and polar bears with the February update

As we already knew, since Facepunch teased it, February Rust update brings a new region, the Arctic. This allows you to add a plethora of elements, to further deepen the experience of the survival game, and increase the possibilities.

We find, for example, a research base, specific to this environment, which allows you to get your hands on various types of resourcesbut also to make chance encounters with the scientists present. It will also be possible to drive a brand new vehicle, the snowmobile, which is found only in this area. Equipped with a small storage space, the vehicle nevertheless remains very fast on the snow, ideal for moving around without suffering too much from the cold. It will, of course, be necessary to put gasoline to use it. The snowmobile allows you to ride with a passenger, who can shoot and defend you, if you need to.

Finally, to conclude the radius of the major novelties of the update, let us mention, as expected, the arrival of the polar bears. The latter only spawn in the Arctic biome, but it is not recommended to attack them, since they are among the most dangerous and hostile animals in this world. His cousin, the brown bear, actually sees his health reduced.

You can find all the details of the update on the official site, which also adds the “Spraycan”, a tool allowing to “relook the objects which have been deployed in the world”. These additions are also shown in pictures, in the trailer below.

Rust is, as a reminder, available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
