Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier congratulated Ruth Maria Kubitschek in advance on her 90th birthday.

Ruth Maria Kubitschek (89) celebrates her 90th birthday on Monday (August 2nd). The actress received special congratulations in advance: Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (65) congratulated the “great actress” on Friday (July 30th). “You have inspired your audience over the years – in a diverse and convincing manner – and earned respect and recognition through your life’s work,” said Steinmeier in a letter with personal words to Kubitschek.

The roles of the actress as “Spatzl” in Helmut Dietl’s (1944-2015) series “Monaco Franze” (1983) and as publisher in “Kir Royal” (1986) are unforgettable. “Time and again you have succeeded in giving shape to idiosyncratic characters and broken souls,” declared the Federal President. “We viewers can only sincerely thank you again and again for the magic of your acting skills, for melancholy and exhilarating hours – and for the anticipated review in the midst of success.”
