Ruth Moschner and Steven Gätjen: New quiz shows bring momentum into the evening before

Starting in autumn, Sat.1 wants to shake up the evening program with two new quiz shows. Ruth Moschner and Steven Gätjen will moderate.

In autumn Ruth Moschner (44) and Steven Gätjen (47) make their moderation debuts the night before on Sat.1. The two will each present a new quiz show: "Letters Battle" and "5 Gold Rings". From autumn onwards, the formats should always be broadcast on Mondays to Fridays.

That's what the shows are about

In "Letters Battle", moderated by Moschner, two teams try to find the right solution in four preliminary rounds in order to gain additional time for the final. A team consists of a candidate and two celebrities. Without the prominent help, the candidates then compete in the final for up to 10,000 euros.

According to the broadcaster, the "largest studio LED floor in Quiz Germany" will become an interactive play area in Gätjen's "5 Gold Rings", on which two teams with two candidates each have to solve puzzles and tasks. The answers are marked with a ring, which gets smaller and smaller in the five rounds played. An amount for the jackpot is earned per puzzle. The final should decide whether the teams actually win – and how much money they take home. Up to 25,000 euros can be earned.

"I love quiz shows and I simply advise everything that is not on the trees for three," enthuses Moschner in a recent press release. "In 'Letters Battle' it was love right from the first question round." For Gätjen, "5 Gold Rings" is meanwhile "the perfect mix of quiz and game show".
