In a nostalgic Instagram post, Eva Mendes looks back on her 10th anniversary with Ryan Gosling.
The beginning of the love story between the two Hollywood stars Eva Mendes (49) and Ryan Gosling (42) was absolutely cinematic: during the shooting of the film drama “The Place Beyond the Pines” (2013), in which the two embodied a former love couple, they fell in love – and then became a couple off the set. In an Instagram post Eva Mendes looks back in amazement at the beginning of their love affair.
Captioning a photo of her on set with Gosling and a movie baby, she wrote: “This was just sent to me by my partner @scondito to remind me it’s been 10 years since this movie came out.” And added: “Feels like it’s been forever.”
First date at Disneyland
The first indications of an incipient affair between the actors were photos of the two having a fun date at Disneyland Park in California. During their tour of the colorful fairytale world, they held hands, one of the pictures even caught a kiss that Mendes pressed on her film partner’s cheek.
For a long time, Mendes and Gosling didn’t comment on emerging romance rumors. It wasn’t until the following year, at the premiere of “The Place Behind the Pines” at the Toronto Film Festival, that they first appeared publicly as a couple. The two have now been in a stable relationship for over a decade and have two daughters together.
Gosling is set to star in a new flick that’s already causing quite a stir. In the new “Barbie” film he embodies the blonde Ken – alongside the Barbie actress Margot Robbie (32). The film will be released in German cinemas in July 2023.
