After the death of “Love Story” star Ryan O’Neal last Friday, some fellow actors and his children are now speaking out.

There is great sadness in Hollywood: After the death of Ryan O’Neal yesterday (December 8th), fellow actors and his children commented on the Hollywood star who died at the age of 82. “So sad to hear of Ryan O’Neal’s passing,” wrote Barbra Streisand (81) on Instagram. “We did two movies together, ‘Is What, Doc?’ and ‘What, you don’t want to?’. He was funny and charming, and he’s remembered.”

His film colleague Mia Farrow (78), who appeared in front of the camera with him for the television series “Peyton Place”, also remembers on Instagram of her special relationship with O’Neal. She was only 18 years old when they both shot the pilot for “Peyton Place.” At that time, O’Neal would have already had a baby (daughter Tatum) with his then wife Joanna Moore (1934-1997). “He was so confident and very, very funny! There were times when he made me laugh so uncontrollably that we had to stop filming,” Farrow wrote. “He was my first, very secret crush. I was so shy that I could hardly look at him.” They remained friends, even if they rarely saw each other.

The 78-year-old continued: “In the 70s he was the godfather of one of my children – the baptism took place in the old church in the English countryside where I lived with my husband Andre. But over time Ryan forgot about him. His Life became more and more complicated. Over the last few years we stayed in touch by phone. I hope he rests in peace. My thoughts are with his children. Tatum remains my friend.”

Son informed about Ryan O’Neal’s death

Ryan O’Neal’s death was announced by his son Patrick O’Neal (56) on Friday in an Instagram tribute known. He posted several pictures of sunsets and wrote: “My father passed away peacefully today with his loving team by his side supporting him.” He paid tribute to his father as a “Hollywood legend” and his “hero.” He continued: “I looked up to him and he was always larger than life.”

The actor’s daughter told PeopleOscar winner Tatum O’Neal (60): “He meant the world to me. I loved him very much and know that he loved me too. I will miss him forever and I am very happy that we are together Good ones have parted.”

Ryan O’Neal has struggled with a number of health problems in recent years, being diagnosed with chronic leukemia in 2001 and prostate cancer in 2012. It is not yet known how he died. He became famous as the protagonist of numerous romances – and also thanks to his on-off relationship with series star Farrah Fawcett (1947-2009). Ryan O’Neal, the legendary star of numerous 70s romances such as “Love Story” and “Paper Moon”, remains unforgettable for his classic films, but also for his headline-grabbing personal life.
