AMD would have the idea of advancing its launch projects by a few weeks around the processors
Ryzen 7000 series.
Rumors around Raptor Lake and Intel’s schedule, which does not seem to have a hitch, would they have pushed the competitor AMD to revise its plans a little?
A release before September 2022?
Without it being possible to speak of “official” confirmation, this is in any case what emerges from the latest tweets from a specialist in the genre. The very well-informed Greymon55 has actually indicated that the Ryzen 7000 series, also known by the code name Raphael, are no longer planned for the fourth quarter of 2022.
In response to a question from Hassan Mujtaba, journalist for WCCFTechGreymon55 mentions a release before September 2022. Of course, AMD has not confirmed this and we will therefore keep a strict distance from such “information”, but Greymon55 has rarely launched unfounded indications.
Remember that the Ryzen 7000 series are designed around the Zen 4 architecture and involve a complete platform change for AMD: new motherboards, new chipsets (AMD 6xx) and new socket (LGA1718 or AM5). There is also talk of integrating support for DDR5 memory and PCI Express 5.0.
