The new generations of Intel and AMD should pave the way for mini PC ever more powerful, ever more economical. Geekom wants to believe it!
Given the popularity of mini PCs at the moment, we expect CES in Las Vegas to be the occasion for some nice announcements. The show opens its doors on January 9, but Geekom couldn’t wait.
Quoted by our colleagues from VideoCardzthe company’s press relations reported on several products which will be more widely presented during the Consumer Electronics Show.
IT14 Pro with Meteor Lake
Among these different products, we will first remember Geekom’s first foray into Intel’s Meteor Lake architecture. The IT14 Pro remains consistent with the brand’s ultra-compact format with a volume of 0.7 liters.
Inside, however, we should be able to have a good reserve of power since a Core Ultra 7 155H is planned. The processor has 16 cores/22 threads and is engraved using the Intel 4 process for better thermal efficiency.
According to Geekom, the IT14 Pro should perform particularly well: it is a question of benefiting from around 20% more multi-core power “ compared to the current generation », undoubtedly Geekom is talking about the IT13.
Integrated Radeon RX 7600M XT graphics card
Alongside this Intel machine, Geekom mentioned the case of two AMD-based mini-PCs, the A8 Max and APro8 Max. They are both equipped with a Ryzen 8040U “Hawk Point” processor with Zen 4 CPU cores and RDNA 3 GPU cores.
On the other hand, while the first will be satisfied with the integrated graphics solution – a Radeon 780M – the second should benefit from a dedicated graphics card, a Radeon RX 7600M XT. This is of course about boosting power, especially in game processing.
