Certainly inspired by the Sonos Roam, the Swedish brand Jays pulls the S-Living Flex out of its pocket: a connected portable Bluetooth speaker, multiroom, AirPlay 2 and Chromecast compatible, launched at €200.

The family of connected speakers from Jays is growing with the arrival of the S-Living Flex, a brand new model whose concept is reminiscent of the famous Sonos Roam launched last spring. The S-Living Flex thus comes in the same format as a conventional Bluetooth speaker (9.4 x 6 x 15.5 cm) while offering connected features usually reserved for sedentary speakers via wifi: multiroom, access to music streaming and web radios…
Like all Jays products, the S-Living Flex opts for a sleek and discreet design. The enclosure is largely protected by a fabric covering, which does not prevent it from highlighting its increased resistance to water splashes (IPX4 certification in support). © Jay’s
To do this, the S-Living Flex is not based on a proprietary protocol, but on dual compatibility with the Chromecast and AirPlay 2 protocols, with the added bonus of Spotify Connect support. Two other connection solutions (Bluetooth 5.0 and mini-jack input) are available to use the speaker more simply, especially outside the home. It is assumed that a mobile companion application will be offered with the speaker to configure it and customize certain aspects, unfortunately nothing has been confirmed by the manufacturer.
