Safe Orthopedics: signature of an agreement for the development of the navigation of its instruments – 02/21/2022 at 18:02

(AOF) – Safe Orthopedics has announced the signing of a development agreement with the company Brainlab to make Safe Orthopedics instruments navigable. The collaboration envisaged between the two companies consists of making compatible the ready-to-use technologies of Safe Orthopedics and the spine and 3D trauma navigation technology of Brainlab in particular. Navigated surgery is very precise and requires robust associated instrumentation that does not tolerate any mechanical play that would affect the precision of the surgery.

Brainlab is a world leader in medical navigation, particularly for back surgery. Brainlab spinal navigation allows precise placement of pedicle screws and dramatically reduces X-ray exposure.

This technology allows more precise planning of incisions and trajectories with any instrument and helps the positioning of implants, especially in anatomically critical areas for minimally invasive surgery.

Because it requires fewer verification images for accurate instrument tracking, Brainlab spinal navigation provides less X-ray exposure for the surgical team and the patient.

Boost for French pharmacy

At the end of a recent CSIS, the French authorities announced an amount of credits (7 billion euros) never reached: 1.5 billion for hospital-university research, 2 billion for investment in health via bpi france , 1.5 billion in aid for the relocation of industrial projects, and 2 billion to strengthen investment in three sectors of the future (bioproduction, digital medicine, and pandemic preparedness). In addition, the annual growth in drug expenditure reimbursed by Medicare will be 2.4%, which should generate growth of at least 0.5% in the turnover of laboratories,

Above all, the normal drug marketing procedure will be accelerated (up to 500 days saved) if the medical benefit rendered is sufficient.
