In the heart of Canon’s inkjet printer range, we find this multifunction that blows hot and cold. So what does the Pixma TS5150 bring compared to the TS5050? This is what we will see…

Despite beneficial changes to its ergonomics compared to the Pixma TS5050, this TS5150 suffers from inferior photo skills and a copier function with problematic rendering. We therefore continue to prefer its little sister to it – as long as it is marketed.

Strong points

• Correct print quality in photos, very good in office automation.
• Rather quiet.
• Energy efficient.
• Full functionality.
• Easy to set up and use.

Weak points

• No touch screen.
• Low speed in black and white.
• Frequent cleaning of the printheads.
• Disappointing copy quality.

Alternatively

The Canon Pixma TS3450 is only a minor evolution of the TS3350. In view of its price positioning, it is not doing badly and manages to ensure the minimum in the various areas. However, we can only advise to spend a little more on a higher-end model. Still at Canon, the Pixma TS5350, for example, answers most of the criticisms that we address to this TS3450.
