Which TV models to buy during the winter sales?

LG NanoCell 65NANO766, the large, affordable 65-inch TV

The 65-inch LG NanoCell television retails for €1,099 upon release. For the winter sales, it is priced at €549 on Amazon.

The LG television has a large diagonal of 65 inches, or 165 cm. Immersion is certainly there with such a panel, provided you have the necessary space and perspective. The thin borders that frame the screen let the panel breathe and help you to be completely immersed in a film or video game. In terms of image, NanoCell technology, although primarily a marketing argument, offers good image quality, close to QLED, and a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. This allows for good brightness, contrast and deep blacks, and vivid colors.

Compatibility with HDR10, HDR10 and HLG standards does justice to the content viewed and provides an optimized experience. Unfortunately, the absence of HDMI 2.1 ports and the refresh rate limited to 50 Hz do not make it the best model for video games, even if your consoles will run without problem. Web OS dresses the television with fluid and ergonomic menus, and offers compatibility with voice assistants, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Panasonic TX-55MZ800E, performance in a versatile TV

This 55-inch OLED TV from Panasonic is priced at €1,799. For the winter sales, it is priced at €1,190 on the Ubaldi website. And with the code W12JF0224 to enter in the basket, you benefit from an additional 12% reduction. The price of the television then increases to €1,047.

This 55-inch model has an OLED panel with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and a refresh rate of 100 Hz. The image quality is therefore there, with truly black blacks and precise colors. The brightness, without matching some Samsung televisions, allows for sharp images rich in detail, especially with HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Note that an integrated brightness sensor allows you to adapt the image according to the brightness of your living room.

For gamers, the presence of three HDMI 2.1 ports and a high refresh rate allow you to connect your PS5 and Xbox Series and make the most of them. LG OLED65G3, the high-end giant screen

The 65-inch LG OLED G3 television normally sells for €2,999. For the winter sales, it is priced at €2,299 on the Darty website.

The LG OLED G3 is a television that is certainly expensive, but of very high quality. Its 65-inch (165 cm) OLED panel, with a 4K definition of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, is the best currently available. Contrast and brightness are perfectly optimized, and the color range is vivid and rich. The HDR standards HDR10, HDR10 Pro and Dolby Vision IQ provide a perfectly contrasted and very detailed image, as close as possible to a cinema experience. Its 120 Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 ports allow you to play video games in the best possible conditions, especially with such a large screen.

Dolby Atmos will be better heard with a good sound system, but in fact, the TV speakers already provide quality audio, although they are slightly lacking in power. WebOS is present to navigate the menus, with a pleasant interface which highlights content from SVOD services, and allows the creation of several profiles. Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, a TV box at the right price

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is normally sold for €79.99. It is priced at €49.99 during the winter sales.

The Fire TV Stick 4K is a small dongle, to plug into your television, and which integrates its own operating system. The device is relatively discreet and simple to use. Once plugged in, you will be able to navigate Fire OS, Amazon’s ecosystem. The latter offers fluid menus in a clear interface. You will have access to content in 4K UHD at 60 frames per second, if your television allows it. The Fire Stick 4K is also compatible with HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, as well as Dolby Atmos.
