Salma Hayek gives breasts a voice with her new series!

Salma Hayek is developing her upcoming series for HBO Max, titled "A Boob’s Life," which tells the story of a 40-year-old woman named Leslie who finds her life completely turned upside down when her breasts start talking to her.

Salma Hayek is working on a TV adaptation of Leslie Spirson's novel, A Boob’s Life: How America’s Obsession Shaped Me— and You, (A Breast Life: How The American Obsession Shaped Me – And So Did You in French) which will be released on March 2.

The production will be exclusively female, just like the show. The actress will be the executive producer of the series, working alongside Cynthia Mort, who will be showrunner and screenwriter.

The series will be a comedy featuring a woman named Leslie in the midst of a midlife crisis just before blowing out her 40th birthday. According to Deadline, the heroine's life is "upset when her breasts start talking to her, forcing her to look at herself in a whole new lightAs of yet, no details have been revealed about the actress who will play Leslie.

According to the synopsis of the book, A Boob’s Life "explores the startling truth about the most popular female body part with a vulnerable, spiritual frankness and true nuggets of American culture that will resonate with anyone who has or loves breasts. "

"We so appreciate that HBO Max was savvy and courageous enough to develop this series with us. In A Boob’s Life, we use the chest as a metaphor for the ongoing judgment that women go through and that creates a collective feeling that no matter what you do, it's never enough. In this series, we give the chest a voice that gives us access to the life of a woman from a point of view that we often don't dare take ", Salma Hayek said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

Salma Hayek has notably already produced Ugly betty or more recently the Mexican series where women take power, Monarca. She is currently working on many projects including Eternals Marvel and Bliss for Amazon Prime.
