“Melody” has experienced bad things, but that couldn’t harm her dog’s heart. The big girl loves everything and everyone, is a bundle of energy and has an extremely gentle nature. The stately herd guardian dog (around five years old) needs loving, consistent leadership, but is smart and willing to learn. In the apartment she is very well-behaved and relaxed, but not a couch potato. She would definitely be a great hiking companion and would certainly be enthusiastic about other activities with “her” people. She walks well on a leash, only behaves a little unsteadily at times, but encounters with other dogs are completely relaxed. Since she likes to lie outside, a home with a garden would be ideal.
