The specialized site PhoneArena today echoes a new bug spotted on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Samsung’s new spearhead has recently been illustrated by a loss of GPS connectivity observed on some copies. In this case, the affected users explain that the problem appears on their device by launching Google Maps (for example) after the initial configuration of the product, or after a long period of inactivity. The application then displays an error message stating that the GPS is ” not found “. The precise origin of this bug is currently unknown.

Shared on the Samsung Community forum, these testimonies are not without solution. In the immediate future, it is possible to regain GPS connectivity in most cases by resetting the network settings or doing a factory reset altogether. We also learn that a simple restart is enough to correct the problem for some users.

Samsung is pretty busy with its S22 Ultra

However, we will have to wait for the deployment of a proper patch for this GPS connectivity bug to be definitively resolved. Samsung should logically end up tackling it, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The firm has not yet officially acknowledged the presence of this bug. It must be said that with its S22 Ultra, the Korean giant has been pretty busy in recent weeks.

Samsung has already had to concoct emergency software patches to correct several bugs reported on its latest flagship, right from its first steps on the market. Among them, a display problem (recently patched), but also a concern related to the refresh rate of the screen.
