Samsung brings One UI 5 in beta to Galaxy S21, but only in South Korea

The Galaxy S22 were entitled to it a few weeks ago, it is now the turn of the S21 family to be offered One UI 5. In beta version for the moment and only in South Korea, it is a first step before international availability.

The new version of Samsung’s home interface is obviously based on Android 13 and its update is carried out in the same way as all the others. One UI 5 is made available on the Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra. Strangely, the FE model does not seem to be affected by the beta. It may be necessary to wait for an international availability before seeing it equipped.

Among the improvements, the possibility of stacking widgets, new colorful themes linked to Material You (one of the new features of Android 12 in 2021), a space dedicated to privacy and data management, a optical character recognition, enriched multitasking gestures or improvements in the Pro mode of the camera app. Compared to the previous version, One UI 5 seems to be a version that brings a lot of new features, which we will not hesitate to test when the first beta arrives in France. If all goes well, we should start testing it between September and October, before the final version is expected to be available by the end of 2022.
