- Samsung has quietly released the Galaxy M54.
- The cell phone is very similar to the manufacturer’s mid-range smartphone A54.

With the Galaxy A54, Samsung recently launched a very well-equipped mid-range cell phone for less than 500 euros. What many do not know is that the South Korean manufacturer has a second, very similar product line on offer with the M series, which is only sold online. This is now being supplemented by the Galaxy M54, which even surpasses the A54 in some respects.
Bigger display and bigger battery
At 6.7 inches, the display is significantly larger than on the A54 (6.4 inches). The phone also has a 6,000 mAh battery. That’s 1,000 mAh more than the A54’s battery has to offer. Furthermore, the main camera has a resolution of 108 instead of 50 megapixels. The processor is identical. Both devices use the Exynos 1380.
In comparison, there are also a few downgrades. The back is not made of Gorilla Glass 5, but of plastic. In addition, the ultra wide-angle and macro camera installed in addition to the main camera have a lower resolution than on the Galaxy A54. It is also unclear how long Samsung will give you updates for the device.
Nevertheless, the Galaxy M54 could be an inexpensive alternative to the Galaxy A54 for some people. As a rule, the M devices are always priced slightly below the A series. However, Samsung has not yet revealed a price, and the device has only appeared on the Samsung Levant website so far. It remains to be seen whether and when it will also appear in Germany.
