While the Galaxy S22 are expected next week on the premium market, Samsung’s mid-range should be embodied by the Galaxy A53, which is already the subject of numerous leaks.
The Galaxy A52 is one of Samsung’s best value for money for the year 2021. What to expect from its successor, the Galaxy A53, that recent leaks reveal almost entirely. No wonder: the Galaxy A52 (4G and 5G) was presented in March 2021, before being joined during the summer by the Galaxy A52s 5G. We can hope for the formalization of this new model before the end of winter.
If we are to believe the very well-informed WinFuture, we can expect a smartphone almost similar to its elder, at least in terms of design. Its AMOLED screen would retain a diagonal of 6.5 inches, its Full HD + definition and the 120 Hz refresh rate introduced by the A52s.
Behind this slab would hide an Exynos 1200 chip. This one, not yet announced, would be equipped with a 5G modem, while the A52 4G was equipped with a Snapdragon 720G SoC, and the 5G model, with a Snapdragon 750G. This new smartphone would ship at least 128 GB of storage, as well as a microSD port to expand it as needed. It should gain in power, but also in autonomy, thanks to a 5,000 mAh battery, compared to 4,500 mAh for the previous generation of smartphones. Enough to take advantage of a few extra hours compared to the A52, which had lasted around twenty hours during our tests.
Still according to information from WinFuture, the A53 5G would have a quadruple photo module comprising a main 64-megapixel sensor, like that of the A52s, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and two 5-megapixel sensors dedicated to depth measurement and macro. Suffice to say that it would be very similar to its predecessor, and that it should do well thanks to its performance and autonomy.
